The Fisters

The Fisters began as a midlife crisis of 4 Leicester migrants and a local. Lovers of sleazy, alternative rock- discussed on a Croatian stag do in 2010.

Fast forward a year and the best dirty rock and roll songs were covered. From Motörhead, AC/DC, The Cult- 80’s and 90’s post punk to grunge fallout.

Debut gigs at pubs summer 2011 were well received. Although most members had never been in a band before and some even learnt an instrument from scratch!

That’s the Rock n Roll dream.

Their 3rd ever gig was an audition for Glastonbudget 2012. Which saw a crafted set that appealed to the judges- and the slot was secured.

More gigs on local small stages with metal bands encouraged the band to write their first few original songs. This led to a support slot for the Sex Pissed Dolls punk covers band.

Regular openers followed at The Musician venue. To tributes Cult Fiction, twice, and The Ramonas, by which time the group was down to a tight four piece.

It was time to bring out the big guns and record an album. Viva the Rock Revolution!

The Fisters riff on the clichés of beer excess, premature rock star deaths. Parodies of anti-social media, war, F1, folklore and the modern dysfunctional world we live in. All delivered firmly tongue in cheek…

They Are:

The Chimp (Guitar)

Spock (Drums)

Felecity Gazwell (Vocals)

Dirty Leon (Guitar)

Da King (Bass)
